USDA Issues Recall On Ground Beef Over E.Coli Illnesses & 1 Death

The USDA has recalled over 132,000 pounds of ground beef products after E. coli was found in some of the products and the outbreak killed one person, as well as sickening 17.

The products are said to be manufactured by Cargill Meat Solutions and were made from the chuck portion of a carcass and may be contaminated with E-Coli O26.

Items that are most likely infected were produced and packed on June 21st and were shipped nationwide.

Health officials were notified of the illness on August 16th and realized that the raw meat was most likely the culprit.

Since then seventeen illnesses were reported and one death. Anyone that may have this raw meat may return it to stores or throw it out. Just throw it out! Better to be safe than sorry!
