To text your ex or not to text your ex… that is the question. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all yes or no answer here; it all depends on the situation and the reason for texting them.
There are some instances where it is okay to text your ex. When can you?
- You’re compelled to apologize
- You have big news you don’t want them finding out from social media
- You can handle a brash brush-off
- You’re finishing old business
- You genuinely think they’re the one and don’t want them to get away
On the flip side, there are times when you really shouldn’t reach out to your ex, no matter how much you may want to. What times are those?
- Someone close to you is tying the knot
- You heard he/she moved on
- Everything is still up in the air
- You just met someone new
- Life sucks
