Trump Administration Sets 17-Percent Tariff On Tomatoes From Mexico: The price of Mexican tomatoes will go up soon. The Trump administration announced in April that it was withdrawing from an agreement that set minimum prices for Mexican tomatoes imported to the U.S. The Commerce Department also announced a new anti-dumping tariff to prevent Mexican importers from flooding the market with cheaper tomatoes. Tomatoes from Mexico account for two-thirds bought in the U.S. and the tariff is set at 17-percent.
