  • On average, the Economic Policy Institute says a family with two children, ages four to eight, will spend about $16,569 on childcare this year.
  • The site used EPI’s Family Budget Calculator to determine the states where people are paying the most.
  • Not too surprising, New York is the state where parents pay the most for childcare.
