Keeping Our Mental Health In Check - The Top Resolution To Be Made In 2022

A new survey finds:

  • 26% of Americans are making resolutions about improving their mental health.
  • That translates to about 67 million adults.
  • Overall, 37% of people say they are anxious about their mental health to start the new year.
  • Ways folks plan to improve their mental health include:
    • Meditate (53%)
    • See a therapist (37%)
    • Take a break from social media (35%)
    • Journal (32%)
    • Use a mental health app (26%
    • Plan to specifically see a psychiatrist (20%)

So, how is everyone currently doing when it comes to their mental health?

  • 42% would grade their mental health as “good”
  • 26% would say it’s “excellent”
  • 22% would say it’s “fair
  • 9% would say it’s “poor”
  • 54% say they are somewhat or very anxious about the uncertainty of 2022.
  • 20% are feeling more stress at the start of 2022 compared to last year, while 44% say it’s the same and 27% feel less stressed.
