PACT Creates Breakthrough Student Training Program Against Child Sex Trafficking

AUSTIN, Texas. Jan. 11, 2021 – Partners Against Child Trafficking just released a new 1-hour online student training course for high school students. The PACT Student Training Program is a groundbreaking course that was created by students for students. This program covers topics such as how to be aware of child trafficking signs, how to stay safe as a targeted student, and also teaches action-based prevention measures.

“Many parents and teachers do not discuss child sex trafficking with students because it is not a pleasant issue. However, by ignoring the problem, they end up leaving the students vulnerable and unaware of potential dangers.” – Sophie Buechler, Student at St. Andrews Episcopal HS in Austin, TX

“I sent it to my high school contacts. I think it is a great training and makes so much sense for all students to take!" - M. Seets, President-Elect, Rotary Club Ending Human Trafficking, MN

During the first six months of quarantine, a group of 20 high school students and recent graduates safely wrote, filmed, editing, and directed this course.

The students used verified PACT-based research and personal experiences to pull together valid and relevant information for the course. This is an interactive, multimedia video course with hands-on projects that engage and inform students. This course is the first of its kind.

“The cruelty of child sex trafficking is not going to disappear unless people first take action against it.” – Rick Naylor, Founder of PACT

PACT is taking that action by training students. This course is available online via the PACT website, www.pact.city. Companies and schools are sponsoring students at $5 each for course training.
