Alaina Jones-Rogers arrested for fleeing from MPD

SUMMARY OF CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING INCIDENT: On November 4, 2018 officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver. While officers were occupied with the driver, the passenger, later identified as Alaina Jones-Rogers, fled the scene in the pickup. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle, but officers let the vehicle go due to the high rate of speed the vehicle was traveling as it fled. The registered owner, who was still at the scene, immediately filed a report reporting the vehicle stolen. Officers later located the vehicle in the 700 block of 35th Ave. SW and through investigation, tracked the driver down to a nearby hotel. The investigation led to the arrest of Alaina Jones-Rogers for fleeing or eluding a police officer in a vehicle, driving with a suspended driver's license, and possession of the stolen motor vehicle. She was subsequently arrested for possession of the a controlled substance in a correctional facility for a small amount of methamphetamine found on her while being booked into the Ward County Jail.
