Aidan's Promise, Inc. is holding the 2nd Annual International Overdose Awareness Day event in Minot, ND. This event is held in conjunction with the Penington Institute https://www.overdoseday.com/about-us/history/ and FedUP Rally https://feduprally.org/, with the hope of ending overdose and spotlighting advocacy opportunities. Our schedule is tentative, but we hope to include a 5K Walk/Run with our partner, Shatterproof, and their Rise Up Against Addiction initiative from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. After the walk/run, our plan is to have a program highlighting speakers on the subjects of recovery, overdose recognition and prevention, and some personal stories of triumph and tragedy.Through the Rise Up Against Addiction Walk/Run, we will be raising and donating money to Shatterproof, https://www.shatterproof.org/where-your-money-goes. The rest of the event will be focused on education and fundraising for Aidan's Promise, Inc. and our planned community initiatives, including education and harm reduction program
