Kourtney Kardashian has met with Congress in hopes of updating an 80-year-old FDA law on personal care items. And she's not alone - Kardasian has been working with Ken Cook, the president of Environmental Working Group in the effort to stress how important it is to update the cosmetic legislation to make beauty products safer.
Kourtney is taking it from a parent’s point of view saying that it’s sometimes difficult to keep up with every ingredient you’re exposing your child to. “I do feel like its time for congress to do its job,” she notes. “We rely on experts, [but] there’s only so much we can do.”
Kourtney goes on to say that new legislation would be important so beauty companies can be held to a standard, adding - “I do think it would be nice if there were laws to regulate people running these businesses so these companies can have some standards on what to use.”
