Justin Timberlake is getting ready to take the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show this weekend, and yesterday faced reporters who asked him a whole host of questions.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was a big topic of conversation, with Justin admitting he’s inspired by the star, joking, “Tom Brady's hair, mostly -- he's got great hair." He notes, “Tom's definitely the type of dude you invite over to watch the Super Bowl with you, the problem is that he's always at the Super Bowl." Interestingly, Brady had called Justin one of his man crushes, and Justin admitted he was “honored to make the list,” and shared that the “feeling is reciprocated.”
As for the actual performance, Justin wouldn’t reveal too much, only noting, “We're doing a few things with this halftime show that they've never quite done before, so I'm excited to do that." But don’t expect any special guests. He totally shot down the idea of an *NSYNC reunion and said in the end he considers his band his special guests noting he’s just “excited to rock the stage.”
- Since the game is in Minneapolis, the subject of Prince came up, with J.T. calling him "the greatest all-around musician I can think of in popular culture.” Justin offered, “The time that I got to spend around him, with him, talking about music -- those are memories I'll take with me forever because he's always been such a big idol of mine.”
- Finally, when it comes to who he’s rooting for, Justin reluctantly admitted he’s rooting for Boston, with him telling reporters, “Go Pack.
