Shawn Mendes is doing what he can to help the folks impacted by the earthquake that hit Mexico last week. The singer, who was in Mexico City for a concert when the quake hit, is partnering with the Red Cross for a Crowdrise campaign to raise money for relief efforts in the area.
"After seeing the impact of the damage firsthand in Mexico, I wanted to find any way I could to help raise funds," Shawn says. "So we reached out to the Red Cross and partnered with them to set up a way to help those affected by the earthquake."
To kick things off Shawn and his team donated $100,000 to the fund, and adds, "I am sending my prayers and love to everyone dealing with the after effects of the earthquake."
