Harry Styles secretly ran in the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, September 21st, completing the race in an impressive two hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds. The 31-year-old singer ran under the pseudonym "Sted Sarandos," a playful nod to Ted Sarandos, the co-CEO of Netflix.
Styles, known for his hit song "Watermelon Sugar," was one of approximately 55,000 runners in the marathon, which is renowned for its fast course. According to the New York Post, Styles had been spotted training in Berlin prior to the event.
Paralympic Gold medallist Richard Whitehead, who also ran the marathon, shared a photo with Harry from the event, writing, "2.58 in Berlin with my mate!! Anyone know him!!"
This isn't the first time Styles has taken on a marathon. Earlier this year, he completed the Tokyo Marathon in just under three and a half hours. His dedication to fitness is well-documented, with Styles sharing in a 2020 Vogue interview that he practices meditation and Pilates to maintain his health.
Us Weekly reported that Styles' performance coach, Thibo David, praised his commitment, noting that Styles can run a five-minute mile. Styles' participation in the Berlin Marathon adds to his list of achievements, both on and off the stage. He shared in a 2024 interview with Coach, "Don't go in thinking 'He did it in five minutes, I’m going to do the same,' just keep on pushing. Don't think about anything else, your time is yours. … Collaborating with Harry Styles was an absolute delight. His commitment is unparalleled."
