Time To Change The Clocks This Weekend!

How do you feel about the "time change?" I love the fact we can enjoy those 10pm North Dakota sunsets during the summer, but most American's say they are tired of the time change we do twice a year.

Results done in a Gallup poll:

The survey shows that more than half (54%) are ready to do away with the bi-annual time adjustment.

  • But people are divided about where they want the clocks to stay.
  • When asked to choose between three options, 48% say they want standard time year-round, even during the summer.
  • A quarter (24%) want to stick with daylight saving time all year, including the winter.
  • And 19% would prefer to keep switching back and forth between the two.
  • This means more than seven in 10 Americans would rather not have any clock changes during the year.
  • This poll is the first time Gallup has asked Americans’ opinions about daylight saving time since 1999, and support for it has tanked in the decades since.
  • Back in 1999, 73% were in favor of daylight saving time, and in 1990, 74% supported it.
