Worried About Your Aging Parent's Your Not Alone!

What is your biggest concerns when it comes to your parents? How are you staying connected with them?

A new poll finds:

  • Close to 90% of Americans with parents over 60 are worried about their safety and well being.
  • 86% say they worry about them often, with the average person worrying about five times a week.
  • As for the biggest cause for concern:
    • 44% worry about their physical health and well being.
    • 36% worry they live too far away to help in an emergency.
    • 36% worry about their mental or emotional health.
    • 33% worry they’ll have a problem and not tell them.
    • 32% worry they’ll be a victim of a crime in their home.
    • 32% are worried about crimes like fraud or online scams.
    • 32% worry about them eating properly.
    • 31% worry they’ll fail to take their medication.
    • 30% are worried about them being lonely.

As for what can be done about all this worry...

  • 70% of people said they’d worry less if they checked in on their parents more often.
  • 73% it would make their parents feel safer if they did
  • Unfortunately 33% say their work keeps them too busy to check in on their parents.
  • Another 28% say their families keep them too busy.
